“I took some advice from some friends last week who told me I needed to loft the ball more to get it farther out on the lane. That has enabled me to carry better which is very important on a high-scoring condition like we’re bowling on here."

Webb said this after rolling a record setting 8 game block of 2,119 Sunday in the PBA Senior Columbus Open at HP Lanes in Columbus, Ohio. He bowled games of 279, 248, 269, 289, 239, 279, 237 and 279 to average 264.8 and break Mickey Spiezio's 1991 record of 2,094. Mark Williams also eclipsed the old record and sits just 13 pins behind Webb at 2,106.
