In the wake of Chris Barnes's struggles recently, it's easy to lose sight of just how good he can be. But the videos below are a nice antidote to that. Yes, instead of the ridiculously challenging "dual pattern madness" he faced last week, he participated in a single lane strikefest in the World Tenpin Masters tournament from 2008 below, and, yes, that single lane gave up a lot of area that Barnes exploited fully in his match against the British female star Kirsten Penny. But as commentator Jason Belmonte explained, even though it was relatively easy to get to the pocket, you still had to throw the ball well to carry well, and I think it's fair to say that both Barnes and his opponent were throwing the ball very well indeed in this amazing two game match.
